The Rise of the Crocodiles
Karonga United Football Club is based at Karonga Boma and was established in 2008. Affectionately nicknamed "Ingwina Sya Mwa Karonga" The Crocodiles the club carries the patient power and striking precision of its namesake, representing the strength and spirit of the northern region.
Since 2017, the Crocodiles have competed in the elite league of Malawian football. From district and regional competitions to the national stage, the club has grown into a proud institution that develops local talent and competes with determination at the highest levels.
Beyond results on the pitch, Karonga United is driven by a deeper purpose using sport to educate in values, promote inclusion, and contribute to the development of the Karonga community and beyond.
